Register for a Webinar Go Back

1. Click the registration link or button provided on a registration Web site or in an invitation email.
2. Complete the registration form.
3. You will receive an email confirming your registration for the Webinar along with the option to add the Webinar information to your Outlook® Calendar.

Note: Some Webinars may require organizer approval prior to the delivery of a confirmation email.

 

Join a Webinar Go Back


1. At the time of the Webinar, open the Webinar confirmation email.
2. Click the Join Webinar link provided in the confirmation email.
3. If prompted, click Yes or Grant to accept the download.
4. If requested, enter the Webinar password provided by your Webinar organizer.
5. Join the audio portion of the Webinar. Audio information is provided in the Audio pane of
your Control Panel and in the Webinar confirmation email.

There is no audio through the computer. To hear/participate in the Audio portion of the webinar please dial (641) 715-322 and enter your access code.

You will receive your access code in your confirmation email after you register.

Can I download the program and set it up beforehand? Go Back

Once you receive the webinar link and corresponding details, 'click' login and the application will launch. Your browser then installs the necessary activeX control and prepares the cpu for the webinar session.

Once that sequence has been completed, you will then see a splash page indicating you are now waiting for the organizer.

 

Do I need a GoToWebinar account to attend a Webinar? Go Back

You do not need to have a GoToWebinar account to register for and join a Webinar organized by a GoToWebinar customer. You also do not need to pre-install any software prior to joining the Webinar. You participate as a guest of the Webinar organizer, at no cost to you.

 

What are the system requirements for attending a Webinar? Go Back

To attend a Webinar on a PC, the following is required:

  • Internet Explorer® 6.0 or newer, Mozilla® Firefox® 2.0 or newer (JavaScript™ and Java™ enabled)
  • Windows® 2000, XP, 2003 Server or Vista
  • Cable modem, DSL or better Internet connection
  • Minimum of Pentium® class 1GHz CPU with 512 MB of RAM (Recommended) (2 GB of RAM for Windows® Vista)
Participants wishing to connect to audio using VoIP will need a fast Internet connection (384 kbps or better), a microphone and speakers (a USB headset is recommended).

Can I view presentations in full-screen format? Go Back

Yes. On the top of the Attendee Control Panel, click the View Menu button and select the Full Screen option. Or, on the Attendee Grab Tab on the side of the control panel you can click the View button to toggle between Full Screen and Window viewing.
